EU pet passport requirements for international pet travel

An EU pet passport is issued by a licensed veterinarian in the European Union. It is not the same as a Pet Passport PDF export. The PDF is a planning packet you hand to an agent; the EU passport is an official booklet.

Typical entries include microchip number, rabies vaccinations, and sometimes tapeworm treatment. Rules differ if you are traveling between EU countries versus entering from the United States or another third country.
